Dead State -- Fact or Fiction?

The fallen angels,

as represented in

pop culture and

bad "Christian"

fantasy novels,

are at best bestial

and scary monsters,

at worst they are

immortal vampires,

but in any case,

they usually just

ain't presented

as all that smart.

Yet think about it,

these are beings

that are a high

order of creation

than humans, of

a different realm,

dimension, plane

of existence,

perhaps with

millions of years

of experience and

knowledge.

Some teachers warn you about

the dangers of Harry Potter.

Then they turn around and, contrary to the Bible, teach you "doctrines"

straight out of Spiritualism 101. A Christian Sixth Sense?

What if your grandmother, a wonderful Christian woman who loved Jesus with all her heart, who has been dead for ten years, visits you one night -- tells you that she has been sent from God, was given special permission from Him, to give you a special "errand" from the Almighty. She says that you are to aid in starting a movement to feed the poor, clothe the naked, and bring peace to those in prison -- it will be the greatest avenue for spreading the Gospel, ever, in the history of the world. It will be a foolproof means of teaching people the truth of Jesus, that He came in the flesh, that He was the Son of God in the flesh of man, that He died for our sins, and now He lives forever, on the right hand of the Father. Your beloved grandmother informs you that other "chosen people," all over the world, are also being contacted in the same way, by dearly departed "Saints of the Most High God," and that all of you will be drawn together to put this mission in motion, the greatest hindrance to the Antichrist and the greatest avenue for succor of those Remnant Believers after the Rapture, during the Great Tribulation.

If you believed her, you would be believing a lie. Did you know that the Bible forbids you to communicate with such a visitor? The Bible strictly denies the possibility of your grandmother even possessing the ABILITY to cross that barrier from death to you, to life, to relate information to you, that not only would God NOT allow it, He has supplied the information that it is not possible, and that if such a visitation DID occur, we have the knowledge to see through the deception. If you knew the Bible, you would never even consider the possibility that this "visitor" is your grandmother. Such a visitation is extremely possible, but it would NOT be the "spirit" of anyone you ever knew, or anyone who ever lived as a person. It might relay incredible knowledge to you, but it would ultimately be to your destruction.

The "visitation" itself would actually be possible, but it would not be a ghost, nor apparation of any dead "saint" or anyone from heaven. The surprising thing is, most religious experts of today are just not equipped to discern the true nature of this visitation. In other words, this could actually happen to you, today, but it could not be anyone sent from heaven to give you a message.

It would be a lying spirit. A supernatural being that has existed longer than this world has had life upon it. A being much smarter than any human. A supernatural being that is part of legions of workers whose aim is to lead you away from the truth, sometimes even if it is only by fractions of inches from the truth -- if they can get you to believe a lie, their entire mission is successful. It is entirely possible for a supernatural being such as this to visit you, with absolutely NO good intention in mind, and yet it would very well strike your senses as the most beautiful being you've ever seen; but undetectable to your senses would be its malice toward you.

"Teachers" such as Bob Larson want you to believe in sensational, ridiculous versions of this truth. "Teachers" such as John Hagee want you to go off on a red herring pursuit, hot for the burning of the fictional Harry Potter while blinding you to the truth of these beings, whom he claims he can "break" and "cast out" and "drive away." "Teachers" such as Hank Hanegraaff desire for you to believe that it is impossible for these beings to manifest themselves, while at the same time teaching you that the spirits of dead people can still have some communication with living people. Entertainer "teachers" such as Frank Peretti want you to believe that these beings are hideous bat creatures, stupid, subhuman mothlike ugly monsters who just barely operate in somewhat cohesive and utterly obvious methods, and thus are easy to see through, and that the average person would run the other way if confronted by these beings (in reality, they are much "higher" than us, they are much smarter, and can fool our senses into believing we are communicating with God Himself).

But these angels that have left their first estate ARE here, right now, with access to the physical world, with a deft purpose to deceive you, and talent to accomplish their mission. Standing alone, without divine protection, you have absolutely no chance, none whatsoever against the wisdom of these fallen angels. They are as far above us as we are above monkeys.

Despite these facts, "teachers" such as Kenneth Copeland perpetrates on his "students" that the leader of these beings is no more formidable than a four-year-old boy in a "scary, scary halloween suit." To paraphrase the words of the French poet Baudelere: "The best trick the devil ever pulled off was to convince the world that he doesn't exist." A trick almost as neat is to convince you that he's a wimp, a joke, a pathetic 4-year-old boy in a Halloween suit -- it doesn't take much imagination to figure out WHY Copeland would teach something as absurd as this. It's his job to lull you into a false sense of security.

Because it IS real, there is a fallen being who once was considered the most perfect of all created beings, and due to vanity, this being fell, and deceived THIS world. And he's still out and about today, and he's deceiving the world, today, and he's far more formidable than a 4-year-old boy in a Halloween suit, and he has plenty of helpers. The Bible says that a third of all the heavenly beings fell from heaven to be with this diabolical leader of the fallen beings, and it is their job to people these puppet teachers -- these are the true enemies, not the puppet people teachers; and that is why the puppet people teachings are so deadly, because, in all actuality, they are teaching doctrines straight out of the mouths of what are termed "demons."

And the most overwhelming of all these demon doctrines is that dead people have the power to reach out and communicate with living people. It is throughout our culture today, throughout all cultures today, in our media, in the propaganda of commercial advertising, and in every aspect of modern literature and entertainment.

Popular TV hosts regularly communicate with the dead relatives of their studio audiences. The Opras and Leezas and Maury Povichs and Ricki Lakes love to have these mediums on their shows.

And worse, religion -- specifically most of Christianity -- is teaching that we have a soul ball that bounces between heaven and earth, or that we have a "spirit" that is our "true self," and this spirit is the "real life," that this life of the living is in reality only a dim blur of the reality that awaits us when we die. So many teachers proclaim that we have an immortal soul despite the Bible declaring that only God is immortal.

The Bible distinctly teaches that a day is coming, at the Second Coming of Christ, a very visible and loud day that the Bible says "every eye will see" -- at this day THEN the dead will rise, and be changed into new bodies -- we do not have new bodies until the Resurrection, this at the Second Coming of Christ.

A few physical facts: our memories are stored in our bodies -- nowhere do we get the idea that our memories are stored in our "souls" or in our "spirit." We know, for certain, that our brain is a myriad branching maze of neurons, physical pathways wherein all our thinking, memory, dreaming and visualization occurs. Our brains are physical. These pathways, neurons, DO NOT RENEW every seven years as do every other molecule in our beings, they are permanent pathways. As an electrical charges passes through these neurons, a thought pops into our mind, as we experience something new, a new neuron is created -- the more we experience a sensation, the deeper and wider the neuron becomes, thus forming a habit.

It should be obvious, that if we die, and leave our bodies behind, there will be no thought, no memory, no dream, and no love or hate to "carry over" to some "other side." As it says in the Bible: "neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished" -- how much more clearly can the Bible state it than THAT? Without your neurons, you have no stored memory, you have no recollections of love -- YOU HAVE TO BE ALIVE to experience these things, only the LIVING receive their reward, only the LIVING can be punished, only the LIVING can worship God!

But this, of course, is not what the "teachers" are teaching, is it? That the Lord will raise "the dead" and give them new bodies?

If you believe that man has an immortal soul inside himself, then you are "primed and ready" for this strongest of delusion, and will have no defense against lying spirits that present themselves as your dearly departed relatives, or even as dead "saints" of God!

Here is the way that the Bible represents a living soul:

And the LORD God formed man

of the dust of the ground, and

breathed into his nostrils the

breath of life; and man became

a living soul.

Genesis 2:7

Isn't that amazing? That's probably NOT what you've been taught, is it? You've probably been taught something completely opposite to this, the first of the definitions of a human soul in the entire Bible, a clear, concise, and yet very comprehensive definition of WHAT a soul IS! God (the Creator) takes dust (the body) and breathes (spirit) into the dust and the dust BECOMES a "LIVING SOUL!"

So the simple truth is that YOU are a "living soul." You are a soul. Could it be any more clear than that? Without going to any commentary, any "anointed one" or "special teacher," the Bible clearly teaches WHAT a soul is. And to make it even more clear, here is a passage that presents the formula of the soul in reverse:

His breath goeth forth, he

returneth to his earth, in that

very day his thoughts perish.

Psalm 146:4

The breath (spirit) leaves the body and the body becomes again dust, and that very day (the day he dies) his thoughts die with him. There you have it. Put Genesis 2:7 together with Psalm 146:4 and there is absolutely no room for the lying doctrines that are being taught today. When you die, your thinking dies with you, it is a part of your body. Don't miss that point. Your "thinking" remains with your body, in the dust. Yes, your "spirit" (your breath) DOES return to God, but there is no thinking or consciousness going along for the ride.

Then shall the dust return to

the earth as it was: and the

spirit shall return unto God

who gave it.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

Do you see a pattern here? All these verses support each other, they are all straight out of the Bible, they are the Word of God, and yet man constantly wants to add to what God has said, or change, modify -- in short, IMPROVE -- what God has already made clear. The spirit -- breath -- returns to God, while the body (with the thoughts) returns to the earth (the grave), so the thoughts are dead, with the body, while the breath (spirit, or spark of life) is with God.

Let no man beguile you of

your reward in a voluntary

humility and worshipping of

angels, intruding into those

things which he hath not

seen, vainly puffed up by

his fleshly mind,

Colossians 2:18

Don't humble yourself before an angel that is pretending to be someone or something else. You have to know what the Bible teaches in order to not be deceived.

In short, the Bible teaches that a person's thoughts become dust, that they are GONE, gone UNTIL the RESURRECTION of the dead! With these Bible truths there is absolutely no way the opening scenario could take place, that a dead grandmother comes back on an errand from God -- by knowing the Bible, YOU KNOW that any such emissary is not, in fact, from God, but from those very real beings that are attempting to deceive you, and rob you of your free gift of salvation! False teachers will slip you false doctrines (of demons) in order for you to accept treacherous beings -- beings much smarter, much craftier than the most intelligent person ever born on the face of the earth -- and these beings, fallen angels, are becoming more and more active. The Bible warned us about this -- let no man trick you out of your reward by voluntarily (giving over your free will) to communicate with these spirit beings, these false teachers are talking about things that they only dimly comprehend, and their vanity compels them to bring their false doctrines to you -- and they might even believe they are serving God, bowing down to these false beings.

When the witch of Endore saw one of these beings with her physical eyes, she described it as "gods ascending from the earth." (1 Samuel 28:13) This evil spirit confused Saul's mind that this was actually the holy prophet, Samuel, raised from the grave -- he perceived that it was Samuel; but we know that God will remove His protection from those who depart from His faith, that He will actually allow evil spirits to participate in His holy plan (1 Samuel 16:14, 1 Kings 22:22) God allowed an evil spirit access to Saul because Saul was Yahweh's "anointed," and yet the king had departed from God's plan, he had opted for his own free will human train of thought (and his thinking wasn't actually all that bad, each and every time Saul departed from God's way he was following a very human, a very logical line of thought -- he was thinking the way that many of us would have, given Saul's choice, to spare our enemy to use him as a hostage, to take some of the spoils of war, to spare women and children, to "get this show on the road" when the prophet is late and a battle needs to be fought); but Saul chose his own way, rather than God's, and we know that God deals more severely with His own than with strangers, even to the point of allowing an evil spirit access to Saul.

Now, Hank Hanegraaf teaches the opposite, he turns these texts around so that the holy prophet Saumel is actually raised up from the ground (was he in hell? was he asleep in the grave? Hank doesn't ever explain, but most likely he employs his "soul ball" theology, wherein God bounces an "immortal soul ball" from heaven to earth, so God creates Samuel by placing an immortal soul ball in him, then allows Samuel to die, thus taking back the soul ball to heaven, then when a witch calls upon the "immortal soul" of Samuel, God bounces down Samuel's "soul ball" into Samuel's bones, and Samuel comes up out of the ground as a living human being -- whereas, in truth, the Bible suggests absolutely NOTHING of this. The Bible goes to elaborate lengths to point out that the witch perceives a god, or "gods" as she describes the experience, calling to mind Jesus' experience with the demons who called themselves "Legion, for we are many" (Mark 5:9), and only then does Saul "perceive that it is Samuel." We are dealing with Saul's "perceptions," and we know that Satan himself can appear as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) . . . and WHY does Hank Hanegraaff teach this, contrary to the Bible, that "soul balls" can bounce back to earth at God's permission? The Bible gives the answer:

Be sober, be vigilant; because

your adversary the devil, as a

roaring lion, walketh about,

seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:8

In these last days, the stakes are much higher, higher than they've ever been in the history of the world, and the spiritual warfare is getting much, much thicker -- the enemy is getting much, much fiercer, because he knows his time is short:

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens,

and ye that dwell in them. Woe to

the inhabiters of the earth and of

the sea! for the devil is come

down unto you, having great wrath,

because he knoweth that he hath

but a short time.

Revelation 12:12

I'm not suggesting that Hanegraaff is the devil, or even that he knowingly serves the fallen cherub, only that in his 800-pound gorilla vanity he is teaching something false, something that has been taught to him, he is standing upon the shoulders of giants, and sadly those giants had very shaky knees -- all of us need to get off the shoulders of giants, search the Bible and find the truth, for ourselves. Throw out tradition that is worthless. Cling to the truth, that which will REALLY set us free. It is mortally serious, because God has warned us about all these deceptions, and yet, "anointed one" after "anointed one" follows in King Saul's footsteps, giving way to the doctrines of demons.

Think about it, if what Hank Hanegraaff teaches is Bible truth, that dead people can come back and communicate with the living, at "special permission from God," then anything goes. The lying spirit only has to say: "God gave me special permission to come here, to talk to you, even though the Bible says that this communication is impossible, but then again the Bible says that with God anything is possible, so it IS possible for God to contradict Himself!" Don't you see how DEADLY that lie is? If we believe the false teaching of popular teachers, we are set up to BELIEVE false spirit beings. The only protection is to know the truth.

The Bible clearly warns us about these kinds of deceptions:

So why are you trying to find

out the future by consulting

mediums and psychics? Do

not listen to their whisperings

and mutterings. Can the living

find out the future from the

dead? Why not ask your God?

"Check their predictions

against my testimony," says

the LORD. "If their predictions

are different from mine, it is

because there is no light or

truth in them.

Isaiah 8:19-20 (NLT)

The living can find absolutley no knowledge from the dead. Of course, I am not saying that this is not happening, even right at this moment. For the "dead" are communicating with the living, imparting knowledge -- only, of course again, they are not actually what they represent themselves to be. They are lying spirits, beings much older than we (they are NOT the immortal soul ball of New Age teachings).

And the LORD said unto him,

Wherewith? And he said, I will

go forth, and I will be a lying

spirit in the mouth of all his

prophets. And he said, Thou

shalt persuade him, and prevail

also: go forth, and do so. Now

therefore, behold, the LORD hath

put a lying spirit in the mouth of

all these thy prophets, and the

LORD hath spoken evil

concerning thee.

1 Kings 22:22-23

Do not believe them, these lying spirits, and do not listen to their lying puppet teachers, either, the very false prophets who monkey the words of the ancient spirit beings. When you catch them, the false teachers and prophets, teaching you something contrary to scripture, turn away from them! Jesus said: "Do not go and see them!" Yet, sadly, thousands flock to participate in the Benny Hinn show (not too different than the Benny Hill show), or the Kenneth Copeland show (Gomer Pyle, USMC), or the Creflo Dollar show, or the D. James Kennedy show.

Read this carefully:

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,

even so them also which sleep in Jesus will

God bring with him. For this we say unto you

by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive

and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall

not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord

himself shall descend from heaven with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel, and with the

trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise

first: Then we which are alive and remain shall

be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we

ever be with the Lord.

1Thessalonians 4:14-17

Did you catch the deeper significance of this verse? If we believe that Jesus was resurrected, then we can also believe that He is going to come back at the Resurrection to bring us back with Him, to the place He has prepared for us. But first, the dead will rise first -- the dead that are safely asleep in Jesus. When Jesus comes back, the dead are described as "sleeping," meaning, obviously that they are dead (they do not have thoughts -- God must wake them up, when the Lord Himself shall descend with a shout). They are not alive (contrary to popular teachings). Mark that distinctly in your memory.

Many "teachers" attempt to warp this verse by claiming that it says: "The dead Christians will come back with Christ and wake up the dead Christians!" Absurd. The verse is saying that no one will miss out on the return of Christ -- if you are dead, you are not lost, because God will wake you up! And if you must be awakened, you must not be awake! That makes sense doesn't it? You can't wake someone that is already awake, and yet this is what people try to claim -- that God will bring back a soul ball to a stone-cold dead body! Absurd.

When Jesus comes back there will be dead Christians (asleep in Christ). Popular teachers say that this is not so, that there ARE no dead Christians, that they are all alive! Yet this verse contradicts them, completely, 100 percent! Because BEFORE the living are caught up in the air, the dead in Christ are raised, and only then will we that are alive be caught up WITH THEM in the clouds. We will be caught up with those who just a few moments before were dead, sleeping in the ground -- then all the believers, from Adam to us (and those who come after us, if we are not alive) will be together, all alive, with new bodies:

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not

all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a

moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the

last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and

the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and

we shall be changed. For this corruptible

must put on incorruption, and this mortal

must put on immortality. So when this

corruptible shall have put on incorruption,

and this mortal shall have put on immortality,

then shall be brought to pass the saying that

is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where

is thy victory?

1 Corinthians 15:51-55

Proof against lying spirits about immortal souls! We will not all sleep -- in other words, SOME WILL sleep (die, be dead, sleep in death) -- ONLY AT THE LAST TRUMP, the dead will be raised (they were dead, and they are raised up alive) and then we who are alive will be changed, after the dead are raised. This all happens AFTER the last trump. Only AFTER the last trump will be changed into IMMORTALITY (and yet the false teachers claim that we ALREADY have an immortal soul! maybe they mean immoral soul?), only THEN can we say: "Oh death, where is your sting? Grave, where is your victory?" Because it is only then that the dead will again be alive (yet false teachers claim that the dead are already alive, in heaven, some of them inventing what they proudly call "the interim heaven!"!). Only after the last trumpet blast of God will there be victory over death -- until that time, the dead are dead, cannot visit you, and will not be sent to you by permission from God (as Hank Hanegraaff teaches is possible, but the Bible says is NOT possible).

The visits COULD happen, but it won't be the spirits of dead people. You might THINK you see dead people, but what you are seeing is far smarter than people, and they are not dead.
