Note, this is not talking about "bad people," those snotty liberal freethinkers, but it is referencing those that claim to know Jesus, those that seek to destroy from within. These are the guys that claim to be "Anointed," or in another way of saying it, "Christ." These are those that come in the "Name of Jesus," claiming to be the "Real Deal True Christians," and yet they "teach" iniquity, lawlessness, and cheap grace. These false teachers and deceivers (and deceived) are represented by two false "leaders" that came out of Egypt, fully "Children of Egypt," and yet fully against the teaching of Moses.
Sound familiar? It is happening. Now. All around you. On every streetcorner where there sits a fancy building with a garish cross shining on top. The people inside are chanting: "Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!" and yet they are denying His power, His authority, all the while seeking their own power, their own authority.

Many deceive unintentionally, many start out deceived and end in deceiving.
The deceivers are live and at large, right now, practicing their cunning arts, even as we sit here conversing. They are weaving fascinating "doctrines," mixing truth and error like a mad doctor with glowing beakers and test tubes. The Bible says they resist the Truth. They have a form of religion, yes, they practice at "spiritual" things, they say "God" and "Jesus" and "Anointing," but they deny the true power of God, a true power that transforms lives and frees people from the clutches of the very worst of far-fetched delusions, and worse money-sucking scams.
These deceivers creep into your house, almost without you knowing it. They have found a means of access, these soul burglars, via the television and the radio and magazine, promising you "power" and "magic" and "truth."
The Bible says these deceivers love themselves, and counts them with the very worst of transgressors (those without Law). It calls them false accusers and fierce and despisers of those that are good.
Their primary target? Those perpetual students, those "silly people" always looking for some new "revelation,"
always "learning," but never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth!
The Bible says these "evil seducers" will only get worse and worse. They will be deceiving, and they will even be deceived themselves!
Those that follow the Who that IS Truth, will be persecuted.
We are told to continue in what is right, what is good, the undiluted and untweaked Word of God, regardless of the bad that comes to us. The whole Bible is given by the inspiration of God, leading to good works.
